This Week’s Bible Story
Let the Little Children Come to Me (Mark 10) The gospel is for everyone in the world. Because everyone in the world is small, helpless, and weak compared to God. No one can live with God forever until they realize they are as weak and helpless as toddlers. That’s how God wants us to come to him. And when we do, he will take us in his arms and bless us.
Play Time + Check-in
Greet kids and families as they arrive. Make connections with kids by getting on their level, playing with them and asking fun questions to get to know them.
Worship Time
Have your kids line up and lead them to worship.
Bible Story
Use The Biggest Story storybook provided to read this week’s Bible story: The Kids Can Come Too (page 364).
Memory Verse
Introduce this month’s memory verse by saying it out loud and showing them the motions. Have the kids practice by repeating after you.
Jesus said, (place your hands around your mouth like you’re shouting an announcement) “I am the way, (use your hands to form a path in front of you) the truth, (open up the palms of your hands to look like a book) and the life.” (wiggle your hands like you’re celebrating) John 14:6 (open and close your hands like a book) Prayer
Close your small group time by praying with your kids. This week’s prayer focus is on PLEASE PRAYERS. Ask the kids in your group, “Where in your life do you need God’s help?” Take time to pray for each of the things that were shared.
Craft + Snack
Invite the kids to take a seat at the table to work on this week’s craft. Supplies will be provided, as well as an example of the craft. Pass out snacks as kids are working on their craft.
THIS WEEK’S CRAFT: Give kids the two pieces of paper for the headband, and instruct them to cut along the dotted line. Encourage them to color it in. Then have them tape them together to make one long strip.
