This Week’s Bible Story
Jesus in the Temple (Luke 2:41-52) When Jesus was just a boy, he and his family traveled to Jerusalem to celebrate Passover. Shortly after they left to return home, they realized Jesus was missing. Three days later they found him in the temple with the priests, listening to everything they had to say and asking them questions. The Bible says that Jesus continued to grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man.
Play Time + Check-in
Greet kids and families as they arrive. Make connections with kids by getting on their level, playing with them and asking fun questions to get to know them.
Worship Time
Before you leave for worship, make sure each child is wearing a wristband so you know who is in your class. Have your kids line up and lead them to worship outside in the grass area.

Big Idea
This month we’re focusing on the big idea that God made me. Teach kids the motions below and practice together.
made (cup your hands like you’re forming a ball of clay) Prayer
Invite kids to pray by repeating after you.
Craft + Snack
Invite the kids to take a seat at the table to work on this week’s craft. Supplies will be provided, as well as an example of the craft. Pass out snacks as kids are working on their craft.
THIS WEEK’S CRAFT: Give each child a piece of brown paper. Encourage them to draw a picture of something that happened in the Bible story today. Remind kids that before the Bible became a book, it was written down in scrolls. Invite them to roll up their paper from both ends and help them tie it shut to create their very own scroll!
