Collaborative Pianists Fall 2022

Coaching sessions are 15 minutes long. The maximum number of coaching sessions students may receive per semester is as follows (per unit):

Level 101: 2 sessions for non-majors, 4 for music majors per semester

Level 201: 3 sessions for non-majors, 4 for music majors per semester

Level 301: 6 sessions per semester

Level 401: 6 sessions per semester

Coaching Requirements:

At least one coaching session must be completed prior to the Noon Recital performance which requires piano accompaniment.

In order to perform with accompaniment on a jury, at least 2 coaching sessions must be completed prior to the performance.

Process

Process for Instrumentalists:

As soon as possible, no later than two weeks before coaching sessions are to commence, supply your accompanist with music.

Via email or sign up form, arrange coaching times. Always CC your private instructor.

If you are planning to participate in a noon recital with your accompanist, complete the

Noon Recital Repertoire Form⁠

(from Dr. Shin’s accompanying page on the Music Hub). This must be submitted no later than 2 weeks prior to the intended recital/jury.
