Different types of foods used in the Spanish cuisine

Spanish food is loved by many people, both citizens and in other parts of the world. Spanish cuisine has relatively popular roots. You will recognize that most Spanish foods are really simple and are not complex as different cuisines around the world.
Additionally, most Spanish food is made from locally available ingredients or crops grown in the region. However, you will recognize that there is a large diversity in recipes in different Spanish areas.
One thing you will notice about Spanish cuisine is that most use the same ingredients and cooking methods that were used two or three centuries ago. However, you will still find others that are influenced by Americans, Portuguese, or even Europeans. However, you are likely to conclude that Spanish food is always tasty, fresh, and plentiful.
Some of the most common and essential ingredients in all are garlic and olive oil. However, this does not detract from the fact that regional Spanish cuisines are quite different. This is due to the specific geographic areas that various ethnic and cultural groups inhabit.
In addition, the weather in different regions of the country influences the cuisine in other areas of the country. Most Spanish food will include the use of pig fat or olive oil. Since Spain is among the largest producers of olive oil globally, it is understood why olive oil is a staple in Spanish cuisine.
Another common Spanish food is cheese. Spanish cheese can be made with goat, sheep, cow's milk, or a mixture of both. There is a variety of Spanish cheese, ranging from old cheese to soft creamy one. You can also find blue cheese that is baked in limestone caves. The cheese can be consumed as tapas or as a meal or even as a dessert.
The most expensive Spanish food is ham. The Spanish people will pay any price to get high-quality ham and seafood is yet another common Spanish food. Since the Spanish peninsula is surrounded by water on all sides, there is much seafood in its markets. This includes foods like eels, octopus, crabs, and halibut.
The Spanish also especially love their Chorizo. Pork sausage is made with paprika. It comes in a variety of forms, from smooth and fresh to smoky and aged. Many people get different sausages offered in the market, and they are hung in attics or cellars to dry after making them.
In many cases, Spanish food would not be complete without fruits and vegetables. Fruits can be eaten as a snack or even as a dessert. Peeled vegetables and simple salads are eaten daily along with a dressing of olive oil. These are some of the most common foods in the Spanish palette; however, you must travel to Spain once in your life to get a real taste of what the country has to offer.
