Charitable purpose; The prevention or relief of poverty

To this end the UK Commons will, for the public benefit:

prevent or relieve poverty by providing: grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty;
relieve poverty or financial hardship among refugees, asylum seekers, migrant workers and their dependants by providing, in particular but not limited to, interpreting/translating/advocacy/ health/housing advice and education;
prevent or relieve poverty through undertaking and supporting research into factors that contribute to poverty and the most appropriate ways to mitigate these;
prevent or relieve poverty of young people by the provision of grants to enable them to participate in healthy recreational activities that they could not otherwise afford.
Individuals will be able to access services through the that will support access on a ‘take what you need, pay what you can’ basis.
We will enable the wider community to support those who do not have sufficient resources to maintain and continue to access resources they require. Food, housing, energy and utilities are all high areas of spending and, as an ecosystem we will work to ensure that we can continue to ensure that people come together around the community values that we are trying to uphold. We value life, support and time with each other and, in order to access these essential aspects of our wellbeing it is essential that the ecosystem works to bring these values back to the forefront of what community means.
If the only way to access this is through having lots of money, we fail to recognise the design flaws of capitalism. If we are to come together as community, we also need to recognise that money is not the same as time, you can not buy someone wanting to spend time with you.
It is this, that we focus our attentions and ask how we remove the notion of money from the necessity of accessing support.
