What to do if the client struggles with lead quality

Solving Unqualified Leads / No Intent

Methods to fix low-quality leads. Most of these methods will help also with contact rates.

Solution 1

Adjust Quiz Qualification Questions using BNT (Budget, Need to Your Solution, Timeline to Move Forward)

Reason: Qualify leads by their real interest and intent and disqualify “time-wasters”

But the client will make way more money so should be willing to pay more per lead.

Questions to add to your quiz/lead form

BUDGET: How much have you set aside to invest in [VERTICAL PRODUCT]?
Give 3 ranges of budgets where the smallest one will disqualify prospects — these vary based on the cost of the product you “sell”
$0-$50/m - DISQUALIFY
You can use confirmation questions to confirm if they don't qualify (e.g. “Hmm...the cheapest XYZ starts at $XX per month. Is that ok for you?”
$50-$250/m
$250/m+
NEED: Which of the following best describes your current situation regarding [VERTICAL PRODUCT]?
I have an urgent need and I'm ready to make a change immediately
I'm actively comparing options but not in a rush
I'm just starting to explore my options

Solution 2

Run YouTube Ads

Reason: In most verticals, we see a 1.5x increase in CR % when running YouTube ads compared to social media ads


Solution 3

Use Google Search Ads for “Need in time” Verticals

Reason: Certain products are purchased only in the case of need in certain situations (e.g. PEST control, legal services, home services, plumbing, etc.) — therefore running on social media won't work well for the client and they will complain about the quality

How to implement

Negotiate higher pricing to be able to afford to run search traffic
This should still work for the buyer as they will be receiving more qualified leads


Solution 4

Target Ideal Client Demographic

Reason: Each vertical will have a typical market segment that has a higher likelihood of converting. ​For example Life insurance is typically purchased by Men and is easier to sell to men between 18-40 as it's cheaper than 40-65+.

How to implement

Create an ideal client persona for the vertical you're running ads for
Speak to the client about what type of demographics convert the best (not the ones he wants but the ones that convert best)
In the ads manager on the ad set/ad group level select demographics related to ICP
Target specific Gender
Target specific Age groups



Solving Low Contact Rate

Methods to fix low contact rate

Solution 1

Multichannel Contact (Call, SMS, WhatsApp, Email)

Reason: Each person will be more responsive via different contact channels. To increase contact rate we have to use the combination of Call, SMS, WhatsApp and Email to maximize contact rate.

You help clients implement multichannel communication.
If they do not have systems or the ability to use all the channels - implement and automate via HighLevel.

How to implement

Test the current client funnel to see how are they contacting the leads + how fast and often.
Write your observation down and prepare an email proposal with recommendations showing improvement if they use more outreach way.s

Reason: Use Twilio OTP verification on lead forms to confirm phone numbers

Solution 3

Have Lead Send You/Your Client WhatsApp or SMS Message on the TY Page

Reason: Start the conversation by having them text/WhatsApp your client first so they can establish a relationship

How it works

Add Next Step on the TY page to send your client an SMS or WhatsApp message

WhatsApp works better but it depends on the country you're running ads in. Some countries have more users using WA, some don't.

Solution 4

Set & Sell Appointment to Small Clients, Leads to Clients with Strong Sales Operations

Reason: Small clients typically struggle with contact rate — so we can increase that by booking them appointments and sending non-appointment leads to larger buyers with established sales ops.

How it works

Implement a funnel where you will collect a lead info + have them book an appointment with the client on the thank you page.
If the lead books an appointment → it goes to the small client
If the lead doesn't book an appointment it's forwarded to a client with established sales operations or lead aggregator/network

Reason: Solves speed to contact and people who don't want to be called immediately + pre-qualifies the person

Solution 6

Add Client's Phone Number to Thank You Page

Reason: People ignore calls from unknown or spam numbers
If the client rotates phone numbers or uses a power dialer this method won't be possible unless they have some common numbers ​(e.g. area code 302-766-XXXX)

How to implement

Ask the client for the phone number they will be calling to leads
On the thank you page/results page mention the phone number + Ask leads to save it to contacts (make the process easy, possibly only with a few clicks)
