Financial grants to BGE residential customers who have had their power disconnected or receipt of impending turnoff notice. Apply online.
PG County Department of Social Services
Apply for programs such as Emergency Assistance to Families with Children (EAFC) which provides emergency cash assistance to families who need emergency help paying rent or utilities or for other emergencies. These funds are available through the local department once every two years when funds are available

An organization that provides case management and helps connect people with resources. They do not have utility assistance directly but can connect people with organizations that do.

Laurel Advocacy and Referral Service
Offers financial assistance for mortgages, rent, and utilities if you live in a zip code they serve. The financial assistance is up to $1500. People can apply once a year. The process to get aid is to schedule an appointment, have the appointment to see what you're eligible for, then wait 6-8 weeks for the payment to process.

Offers emergency assistance including money for utilities. To apply call them or fill out an application and email it to them. Also has an application for the WSSC Water Fund

Provides rental, security deposits and utility assistance to low-income individuals and families. These services offer help when needed to prevent eviction and homelessness. Financial assistance is only available when they have funds.

Community Schools Rental Assistance Program (CS RAP)
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development awarded funding to the Housing Initiative Partnership (HIP) to provide assistance to student households with a student enrolled in a community school.
To qualify for funds you must:
Be renting or actively seeking to lease a new rental unit ​(Homeowners are not eligible for this program).
Have a student enrolled in a community school
Be experiencing housing instability, such as homelessness, at risk of eviction, utility shut off, or be behind in paying rent or utilities
To apply contact your designated Community School staff for assistance with completing and submitting your CSRAP application. Contacts can be found in the linked website.
Note: If you are unable to reach your Community School staff, email or call 301-245-3907 for an alternative method to submit your application.
