Virtual Production with Projector (Feb 23)
Extra hardware consider besides Vive Tracker and base station: VIve Mars Box and Rover:
Rover to encode and transmit lens data
For LED Wall, software don’t receive camera video feed, the compositing is done in real time when camera captures the subject against LED wall.
Recommended projector (for better contrast and color): Norxe P2 WQ Projector
(built in camera feature lense and sensor so the projection looks like a camera shooting image)
Problem with project instead of LED wall:
Lighting on set wash out the projection image
Solution:
1. Put black fabric curtains around the set to reduce light bouncing
2.Avoid actors stand too close to the projected wall (will create shadow)
(Can be improved by using Short Throw Projector → allow only 3-8 feet distance to project on wall)
