Check if the quxiel bridge plugin is properly downloaded in epic library:
Import methuman from megascan to the scene
Download the animation/motion from Actorcore
To fix the LOD appearance of methuman, Details → set Num and forced LOD as 1 in LOD Sync (Inherired)
Use the dummy as reference for animated motion (2 methods in 2 tutorials):
1) Actorcore downloaded folder → Actor folder → Import Motion dummy female file in UE
→ Tick Use T0 as Ref Pose
2) In Content Broswer → +ADD → Add Feature or Content Pack → Third Person
→
Bluprints → drag the ThirdPersonCharacter (mannquin) to the scene
Import the animation, choose Skeleton: UE4 Mannequin Skeleton → Import (not all),
Open Manque skeleton Mesh:
Retarget Manager → Select Rig (L bottom box) → Select Humanoid Rig
Either method 1 or 2, then do following next:
Choose the methuman, in Details, click Body (inherited) → Skeletal Mesh, open the file
Open Character → Bones → All Hirerachy
→ Choose skeleton view (1st icon on Top R corner)
Click the setting icon → Show Retargeting Options
Change Root and Pelvis as Animation
Select all skeletons (except Root and Pelvis) → R click → Recursively set translation retargeting skeleton (all retargeting change from animation to skeleton)
Click Retarget Manager (top L corner) → Select Rig → Humanoid Rig (Show Advanced (L bottom box) for clearer look)
Check the skeleton matching the character and modfiy if necessary:
Click View Pose/Hide Pose (bottom L corner) to see if the skeleton has big change (e.g. lose all fingers), if yes (need to fix)
→ Click Modify Pose → None, choose the 1st one (retarget one) below
→ import (post should be changed now)
→
click Modify Pose again → Use Current Pose
To match the dummy to the metahuman:
double click the dummy Mesh in Content Browser → Repeat the step to change from animation to skeleton in retageting option (except root, pelvis, cc base pelvis)
→ Select Humanoid in Retargeting Manager
Import the Actorcore → Motion folder → the animation file in UE (dummy female skeleton should be defaulted)
→ Custom Sample Rate change to 60
R click on the imported animated → Retarget anim asset → Duplicate...
Choose the file in the box and click Retarget:
Add a level sequence from Cinematics
→ Add the metahuman in timeline → Delete Metahuman Control Rig from Body
→ +Track → Animation, choose the imported animation (now the methuamn should be animated)
If the animation has some part doesn’t fit the methuman, has to manually fix in control Rig(e.g. arm being inside the body):
R click on +Track, Bake to Control Rig
To bake the animation and continue the action in previous post:
R click on the consecutive animation clip → Match with this bone in previous clip → Root
To change speed of the animation : Properties → Play rate (below 1 is slower motion)
