Sponsorship at iwoca: The Quick Details

Thanks so much for your interest in joining the team!
We know figuring out the Skilled Worker Visa process is super important before you apply, so we've pulled together the essential info on how we handle sponsorship. Hopefully, this answers those big questions!

1. The Visa We Cover

We currently provide sponsorship for the UK Skilled Worker Visa, we can’t offer sponsorship for every role - so please speak to your Talent Partner to see if you would meet the requirements. This lets eligible candidates work with us in a role that meets the Home Office's skill and salary requirements.

2. What iwoca Pays For (We've Got You Covered!)

As part of our sponsorship policy, we cover the main costs for successful candidates:
✅ Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) assignment fee
✅ Immigration Skills Charge (ISC) (This is the employer charge)
✅ Visa application fee
✅ Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS)
Note: For some of these costs, we do have a clawback policy in place if you decide to leave iwoca within your first two years.

3. What You'll Cover

Applicants are responsible for personal and dependent-related costs:
💰 Costs for any dependants (if applicable).
✈️ Travel to and from the UK.
📦 Relocation expenses (unless we've agreed on something specific in writing).
In need of additional guidance? We understand that you might want legal support, especially for your family. We're happy to connect you directly with the immigration lawyers we use for your application!

Important Things to Note 💡

We only cover costs for the Skilled Worker Visa. We don't cover other types (e.g., Exceptional Talent, Global, Dependant, ILR, etc.).
We typically reserve sponsorship for our most Senior roles if needed or Analytical and Engineering vacancies as appropriate. It’s worth noting there is a minimum sponsorship salary set by the home office in order to be eligible for sponsorship, which can vary per role.
If you already have the Right to Work in the UK and don't need sponsorship, great! We'll just need you to share evidence - the easiest way is via a share code: 👉 https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work/get-a-share-code-online
Sponsorship is always subject to final approval by the UK Home Office. We cannot guarantee a successful application and your job offer is conditional on having a right to work in the UK.
Please review the official guidance! The most up-to-date info is here: 👉 https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa
A quick note on delays: If the visa process takes longer than 2 months (we might make an exception, but that's our baseline), we reserve the right to withdraw the job offer.
