Why Advocate?
Advocacy is the power of ordinary people coming together to demand justice and create lasting change. It’s about raising your voice, organizing your community, and influencing decision-makers to do what’s right.
Advocacy has shaped history. The abolitionist movement, for example, began with just twelve committed individuals who challenged a society that profited from slavery. Through persistence and strategic organizing, they succeeded in outlawing the Transatlantic Slave Trade in Great Britain.
Their story reminds us: change takes time, especially when working with large institutions. But it is possible—even in the face of deep injustice.
Your Voice Matters
You may feel small on your own, but
together, we are powerful.
The strength of the movement to end trafficking and violence is directly tied to the power of individual advocates like you. Your voice is powerful. When student leaders speak up, lawmakers listen. By joining forces, we can help build a world free from exploitation.
