The purpose of this role is to perform structural analysis of component parts and provide design recommendations to cross-functional teams. In this role, you will be responsible for developing projects from inception through implementation, owning your work, assisting and learning from engineering mentors, and working across groups.
What You’ll Do
Use finite element analysis and classical methods to evaluate for strength, deflection, vibration, fatigue life, and damage tolerance.
Finite element analyses of engine components and complete assemblies using best modeling practices.
Develop allowables from novel materials.
Author analysis tools for designers to use in sizing new parts (scripts, spreadsheets, etc...).
