About the Role
Whisper Aero is seeking an undergraduate or graduate level Engineering student for a Mechanical Engineer Intern. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and fabricating mechanical systems, test equipment, and hardware infrastructure in support of new propulsor development.
What You’ll Do
Design and fabricate mechanical systems, test equipment, and hardware infrastructure Create models, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks Design for and utilize rapid prototyping equipment Communicate with other groups to integrate your designs Prepare and conduct design reviews Basic Qualifications
Have completed at least 2 years of schooling towards a BS or MS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline Proficient with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) Bonus Qualifications
Experience in rapid prototyping, designing to take full advantage of 3D printing tools Drone or model aircraft experience Experience designing tooling, test fixtures, and ground equipment Experience operating lathes, mills, routers, CNC equipment, and/or 3D printers.
