We’re looking for an experienced electronics and test technician to join our team. This technician will be focused on applying cutting-edge electronic system development techniques to the production of flight-weight hardware and ground testing equipment. They will have a solid track record of developing electrical systems for aerospace system instrumentation and troubleshooting flight and laboratory instrumentation systems.
What You’ll Do:
Development wiring and system layouts for instrumentation and vehicle systems
Build prototype electronics systems for instrumentation, prototype aircraft, etc.
Troubleshoot ground DAQ and flight instrumentation
Setup small and large scale test stands and instrument test articles
Assist in the setup of test stations with data acquisition
Program basic functions in data acquisition systems
Assist in wind tunnel testing and setup
Create calibration systems and perform calibrations
Do basic data plotting and post processing
Configure and test motors and motor controllers
Write lab reports for tests and calibrations performed
What You’ll Need:
U.S. Person status is required, as this position may access export controlled data
2+ years of experience as a Electronics Technician
Proven background in complex electronic system development, fabrication, and troubleshooting
Expert skill with general hand tools, precision measurement tools, electronics fabrication, etc.
Ability to know and apply best practices in aerospace wiring and electronics system design
Ability to develop complex wiring diagrams and PCB layouts from general instructions
Ability to fabricate complex wiring
Basic PCB layout skill using Eagle or similar layout software with enough design understanding to make boards with limited guidance.
Ability to program using Arduino and prefer ability to do basic general microcontroller programming, FPGA programming, etc.
Familiarity with all types of electronics test tools and techniques (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, circuit troubleshooting, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in groups and individually
Adaptability in a fast-paced design environment
Creativity applied to problem solving
Bonus Qualifications:
Experience in R&D space
Proficiency in SolidWorks and Eagle PCB design software or other similar program
Proficiency with LabVIEW
Proficiency with MATLAB and/or Python basic data analysis
Software version control using Git
Experience with high voltage batteries and electric motors and controllers
Aerospace experience
Google suite experience
