INTRODUCTION:

Hi how are you?

SHORT STORY:

So we’re here today on behalf of Volunteer Services Overseas.

We fight poverty and injustice all around the world for woman and children?

Do you have any children in the family?

Qualifying Question (Age) - Take this as a compliment, there is now way you’re over 36, right?

As I’ve been saying to your neighbours, I’m sure you agree every child deserves the best opportunity right?

PRESENTATION:

Problem - As I’m sure you have seen in the news, the reason why we are here is that nearly 400 million woman and children, live in extreme poverty. Whats worse is that 30% of these girls never step foot into a classroom. Which is terrible, right?

Solution - So what we do is send trained volunteers such as doctors, nurses, farmers and teachers.

They don't just help in the community, they actually share their skills to help make a lasting impact.

I’m sure you’d agree the work we’re doing is for a great cause, right?

And I’m sure you’d like to see the work continue too, right?

OVER 45 - CLOSE REGULAR GIVING:

Unfortunately it costs us millions every year to fund the vital work we do, your neighbours have been amazing!

The reason why so many people have been jumping on board is because, they all want to help out as long as its something really small, like £15 per month, which is ONLY £3.75 out of their weekly budget.

Its not a lot but when 30, 40 of your neighbours, thousands across the country, come together it all adds up and makes a massive difference.

CLOSING STATEMENT:

So I’m sure just like all your neighbours people I’ve spoken to, we can definitely count on your support too, right?

Most people say they do lots of monthly donations, i’m sure you’re the same! We are not actually looking for that today. We are actually just getting people involved to help with a one off gift, so its not a long term commitment.

What do you think is the highest amount we have ever got for this campaign? We have received one thousand from one person! Do you want to break that record today?

But seriously, most people can’t do that, so they have agreed instead to help with as much as possible, some people are giving £200, £100 or even £50.

So, like I’ve been doing with all your neighbours, they are all helping out with a standard amount £15/month, which break down to £3.75

So, like any continuous card payment - like netflix or amazon, the first £15 will be today, the next will be on the first of every month after that.

I'm going to generate a QR code to scan so you can fill that out on your own phone.

Do you use google pay or apple pay (if no, get them to get the card they want to use)

Do you have you have your phone or do you need to get it?

Once that's gone through, you will get a quick call from the charity to verify I’ve done my job correctly.
