Horizan VC is a new alt-VC Fund aiming to provide Idea Stage to Pre-Seed UK/EU founders with a new way to finance their entrepreneurial dreams. We do this utilising the Convertible Future Earnings Agreement, which is a combination of a SAFE note and a Future Earnings Agreement. Our mission is to use CFEA’s to democratise access to capital for Friends and Family stage UK and EU entrepreneurs, and give them additional resources needed to help them achieve their dreams.
Since our September 2021 launch, we’ve spoken to 50+ startups/founders and funded 3.
Going into 2022, we want to continue to raise awareness to the wider audience about our model and we are looking for a talented Chief Marketing Officer to take on our marketing and social media strategies to help us reach those that need us to fund their projects.
Oversee the firm’s PR and media strategy across online+IRL events, digital, etc.
Develop & manage our content strategy, devise new ideas
Write our bi-weekly newsletter and build the audience
Run our social media accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube)
Plan and co-organise podcasts or voice chats (Clubhouse + Twitter Spaces)
Plan and co-run monthly events for our portfolio founders & the greater London/EU VC Community. Examples include: happy hours, demo days, interactive chats involving different startup industries.
Help define & own the KPIs related to our audience development & market presence.
Goals for this role:
We need to get to a point where the majority of founders in the UK (and later EU) know who we are/know they have an option to reach out to us at any point in time.
We want to use the best online channels/social medias to educate our audience about what we do, how the CFEA works and how we can help founders.
We want double the amount of content we share online, grow social channels and built trust with the wider community.

Self-taught marketing experience (of any sort)
Have worked with startups before
Basic understanding of startups, fundraising and venture capital
