Pontarliers Apartment

Wanted to charge surchare to check in early even though it was very evident no one had been here for some time.

After that the check in instructions weren’t delivered until nearly 10 past the checkin time.

3rd floor walkup which WAS NOT mentioned in the listing or any of the reviews.

Host told me we could park ‘anywhere out front’ but failed to mention that it was 1.5 hours for free only.

First thing you see walking into the apartment is mop bucket and broom

No TV - only a crappy projector so couldn’t plug in our firestick or Switch

Projector absolutely massive on wall. Watching any show was like watching a tennis match having to turn head back and forth.

Can’t login to our own Netflix account. Logged in under a portuguese language account.

Blinded by the projector every time you stand up from the couch.

When I asked the host about the TV their answer was very curt that I should have seen their instructions to refer to the welcome book for instructions. However, there are literally no instructions in the welcome book about the projector.

No artwork or anthing on the walls. Very bare.

Kitchen poorly organized. Why is all the cuttlery in the dining area drawers while there are empty drawers in the kitchen area?

Fridge/Freezer off and open when we arrived

Central heating doesn’t work. Have to manually set each heater.

Pillows made out of scrap foam - literally the worst we’ve ever encountered

Big black locker cabinet taking up a ton of the very small amount of space in the bedroom locked and not usable.

Only place to hang anything is a cheap wardrobe thing in the living room with a total of 5 hangars.

Nowhere to put luggage.

Smallest tea kettle I’ve ever seen and you have to unplug it and take it to the tap to fill it up.

Probably the original Senseo coffee machine - no options for size/type of coffee.

Lighting in living area super harsh.

No soap in the batrhoom

No laundry detergent.

Tiny amounts of dish soap in the kitchen.

1/2 roll of toilet paper

Only one bedside table.

The reviews on

seem fake. Given they were all within a month of us staying and not one of them mentions any of the issues above our only conclusion is that they are not real.

Of the six places we stayed in France this was by far the worst.

My husband had to fix the handle which was falling off of a pot.

Not a single cooking knife

No garbage bags

No hair dryer
