The City of Orinda has done some Housing Element pre-work because our Downtown Precise Plan, which is underway, contemplates substantial density increases within the downtown area and, in addition, we are working with Placeworks on an on-call basis to determine housing opportunity sites. We are planning to bring the RFP for the Housing Element to the City Council on April 20. For timeline, we want to adopt the Housing Element no later than December, 2022.
