3. How suppliers are using WDRP?

As this features is already live, we tried to check how it is performing and how users are using it, on the basis of which we can decide what all control we need to offer.
WDRP was live on catalog uploading journey, which is whenever user want to upload new product in inventory they need to use catalog upload feature. From catalog uploading we try to understand how WDRP is performing and what are its most used vs least used controls.

Through Data points we have

To understand supplier usage and behaviour around both the features we tried to understand some data points in more details-
Do supplier want to opt out WDRP also, or they want to accept it always?
Do supplier want to edit WDRP price if recommendation given on it?
Do supplier want to Edit WDRP directly, or want to change it as per Meesho Price
Should we offer separate price slider for WDRP also? Need to check usage of price slider?
Do Supplier understand “WDRP” and “Wrong/defective return price terms”?
1) How many supplier opted for WDRP yet?
In single catalog flow, post RU launch, when WDRP is shown to suppliers as auto opt-in
90% of the P’ids accepted WDRP, 10% p’ids declined (opted-out of) WDRP
95% of the suppliers accepted WDRP, 5% suppliers declined (opted-out of) WDRP
Final takeaway - 5% Supplier use to opt-out for WDRP price, so opt-out feature should not be upfront.
2) How many suppliers want to edit WDRP price when we showed it to them in catalog upload?
image.jpeg
In single catalog upload flow, ~41% of the suppliers edited their WDRP price (from what was suggested).
Suppliers are doing a perception based check, based on initial price calculations, if the recommended difference is sustainable or not. Many hinted at higher RPs if they see genuine decrease in returns & related costs.
Final takeaway - 41% of the suppliers edited their WDRP price.

3. Supplier want to Edit WDRP directly, or change it as per Meesho Price
As per the data we saw above we got clarity that 40% supplier accept WDRP after editing prices, in which 32% are those who edit WDRP independently of MP
Final takeaway - 32% Supplier are editing WDRP independently

4. Should separate price slider for WDRP required? Usage of price slider?
As we don’t have any tracker added on this, we are not able to track performance and usage of slider, so to identify its usage we did User calling with 5 suppliers, in which we observed 3/5 supplier are completely relying on slider to change their price, while 1 of them is using both input field and slider and 1 supplier was using directly input field.
Final takeaway - People knows that, if they change MP, WDRP will also get changed. So primarily they change MP and to reach to an exact number they use number-pad.

5. Do Supplier understand “WDRP” and “Wrong/defective return price terms”?
In phase 1 we launched WDRP on system with visibility only, on that design we did user testing. Again in the User calling we tried to understand this, and no supplier understand WDRP term, while when we asked for Wrong/defecting return price, then they were able to recall it, and they explained us what wdrp is.
Final takeaway - Supplier who don’t opted for WDRP yet, or who newly joined facing some challenge in understanding WDRP term, so they were looking for some information to understand it more detail.
