Half of cancer survivors are of working age, and almost two-thirds (63%) of them return to work within one year or continue to work during treatment. Still, many survivors need help to overcome struggles at work. Comprehensive and practical approaches are needed. This presentation will: Introduce the McGill University/BC Cancer Cancer and Work website as a robust resource for Canadian cancer survivors, employers and health care providers Address facilitators and barriers to work using the Vocational Rehabilitation Model for Cancer Survivors Apply value-based health care principles that can improve health outcomes for plan members while controlling plan sponsor costs.
