Luke 10:40-41
40But Martha became exasperated with finishing the numerous household chores in preparation for her guests, so she interrupted Jesus and said, “Lord, don’t you think it’s unfair that my sister left me to do all the work by myself? You should tell her to get up and help me.”41The Lord answered her, “Martha, my beloved Martha. Why are you upset and troubled, pulled away by all these many distractions? 42Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.”
Isaiah 66:1
Thus says Yahweh: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest?"
Luke 7:37-38
And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was reclining at table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment,
and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment.

I heard Abba say, "Every great work of God born in this hour will come from those who are sitting at my feet."

You have been called by the Father to a journey which few of your peers understand. A voice in the wilderness has beckoned you to follow. The path is narrow. Often times you wrestle with your own sanity in the journey. Racing thoughts cloud your mind. Did I really receive this calling? Am I equipped to do what is required of me? Why don’t others see what I see? Like a ball of yarn your thoughts often become tangled up in knots. This can be paralyzing leaving you unable to advance or retreat. When this spiritual battle comes upon you, where can you go to free yourself from this place?
Fellow traveler, there is only one place to go, and that is to the feet of our Messiah.
When we read the Scriptures, at the feet of Messiah we will find many incredible things take place. Here people are healed. Here people learn the ways of God. Here people weep in repentance. Here people passionately acknowledge Messiah as their Lord and King. These examples show us that the ground upon which Messiah's feet stand is the most sacred of grounds!
Friends, you are being called to this very place for a reason. And the reason is this, "God is calling those who have come to know him as the Lamb of God, the Savior of the world, to reveal to the world His identity as the King of Glory, and the Lord of all the earth!
Fellow Traveler, you are being called to the feet of Jesus in this hour. Here at his feet, you will reveal the Kingship of Christ.
For it will be in our willingness to serve in the likeness of Messiah, that we will reveal to the world that a new Kingdom has come upon them. And here at His feet, He will meet you personally. You will find healing for your brokenness. It is here at his feet where you will worship and wait, as He makes your enemies His footstool. Here at his feet, you will pour out your heart in service to your King. It is here at his feet, where you will find rest for your weary souls.
Do not delay my friends, as you press in through this time of prayer and fasting, run to His feet. There is no safer place on earth.

Our Prayer

Father, we cry out to you from the depths of our soul. Still our anxious thoughts. Crush our doubts and fears. End our ceaseless striving. We are like sheep without a shepherd. Lead us to your feet. We give to you our lives. We give you the pain of those who hurt us. Those who have not understood our wilderness call. Our tears have become our food Father. But now we come before you, and bow at your feet. We lay our hands upon your wounds. And we enter into your courts with thanksgiving and praise. Make us into the alabaster flask. Break us that we might pour out your Holy Oil. May our lives be a fragrant offering to you, even if they are a stench to many of those around us. Grant us the privilege to sit at your feet. And may we stay here from this day forth and forevermore. Amen.

A Word from Our Father

My child, I see your wrestling. I know all of your anxious thoughts. I have given you a vision and it will be fulfilled in its time. Come to me and find rest for your souls. I am the Prince of Peace. I am the one who can calm the raging seas within you. Do not try to work harder for me. This will not produce what I desire. But come and sit at my feet and listen to my teaching. It will be living water to your thirsty soul. In the days to come you will face many more battles, but I will be with you to deliver you. Do not sway to the right or to the left, just stay at my feet until I make your enemies and mine a footstool. Worship at my feet and giants will be slain. I love you. I have called you. You are not crazy. Our journey together has only just begun.
