Below is a mockup of a potential solution - desired qualified interviewer capacity calculation.
1. Inputs
Assuming interview to offer ratio is 1:4, 400 candidates need to be interviewed by a qualified Lead. Assuming every candidate must complete each of the 8 sessions, 8 sessions per candidate. 2. Total number of interview sessions
400 candidates × 8 sessions = 3200 interview sessions led by a qualified Lead
3. Number of required interviewers
Based on industry benchmarks, we are assuming that a calibrated engineer might handle 2–3 interviews per week sustainably. Assuming 100 interviews per year per interviewer, 3200 total sessions÷100 sessions per interviewer per year = 32 interviewers. 4. Adjustment for decline rate:
Currently 35% of interview requests are declined, so actual effective interviewer capacity is only 65%. 32÷0.65≈49 interviewers
Conclusion: To make 100 hires with this load, we need at least 50 active, calibrated Lead interviewers across the pools to sustain the volume without overloading individuals. Furthermore, the number of Leads should be distributed across the 8 sessions, to solve for potential Lead interviewer overlap.
