Welcome welcome. Caleb met Ella 1 month ago at the bar they both work at in the loop. They’ve started dating and he is madly in love with her. Caleb is planning to propose to her at work during the Friday rush on their 1 month anniversary. It is truly a terribly misguided plan.
If you are on Ella’s team you are trying to save her from a very embarrassing and awkward situation at work. If you are on Caleb’s team you are encouraging him to follow through with his unconventional, yet terribly romantic dream.
In this game there are traitors and lovers and shy besties. Seducers, bullies and obsessive ex’s. Will Caleb’s team help him successfully propose to Ella on their 1 month ani or will Ella’s team succeed in keeping Ella safe from his rushed advances!? We shall see. The night is young and there is plenty of mischief (and love!!) in the air <3
Disclaimer
This is a work of fiction. All names, characters, places, and events depicted in this game are the product of my imagination and any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. LOL.
If you’re curious where this all came from this is a variation I made of the game Finally, these instructions may be overwhelming for the first time but I promise it starts making more sense as you play. Happy banishing!
Game outline
Players are split into two teams: Ella’s team and Caleb’s team.
The goal of Caleb’s team is to help propose to . They will win if Caleb and Ella are on the same floor at the end of the game. The goal of Ella’s team is to avoid Caleb’s proposal because she wants to spend more time getting to know him!! They will win if at the end of the game Caleb and Ella are on separate floors. Set up
At the beginning of the game all players start on the same floor and draw their secret role cards: Each role card shows your team on the top (except if you are ) and your specific team role on the bottom. They are folded twice in a way that makes it harder to show your specific role accidentally. Don’t show anyone your card yet! The players count off 1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2... until everyone is assigned a floor. The players go to their respective floors and round 1 begins. Gameplay
In each round the players on each floor have some time to mingle and try to seek out their team mates. There is no format to this time except that by the end of the time limit a leader must have been elected by majority vote and that leader must decide which players to banish to the other floor.
You may show your card to anyone you want to. It may be beneficial to hide your role depending on your identity: the role cards are designed to make it easy to share your team color and not your team role if you desire.
Round 1 (5 minutes. 5 exiles.)
On each floor, the floor leader must choose 5 exiles to banish to the other room at the end of 5 minutes.
In the first round any player can self elect themselves to be the leader but they must get the approval from a majority in the room. The elected leader can discuss with other players which 5 players to send to the other floor.
Round 2 (4 minutes. 4 exiles.)
In round 2 each floor receives their 5 exiles from the other room and the timer is set to 4 minutes. Leaders from the previous round maintain their rule unless a majority on their floor vote for a different leader. If you were cursed with “shyness” by and are exiled you must remain shy in the new round. At the end of 4 minutes the floor leader must decide on 4 exiles to banish to the other floor. Round 3 (3 minutes. 3 exiles.)
Same as the last round except this time it’s a minute shorter and each floor banishes one less player
Round 4 (2 minutes. 2 exiles.)
Same as the last round except this time it’s a minute shorter and each floor banishes one less player
Finale (1 minute! 1 exile!)
Same as the last round except this time it’s a minute shorter and each floor banished 1 final player.
Outcomes
Once the last exile arrives in each room the winners are determined by the outcome of whether or not Caleb and Ella are in the same room. If they are, and Caleb has met with than Caleb’s team wins! If they aren’t and Ella has met with , Ella’s team wins!! Note that:
If Caleb and Ella are in the same room but Caleb hasn’t met , Ella’s team wins. If Caleb and Ella are in separate rooms but Ella hasn’t bet , Caleb’s team wins.
Roles
Tips and strategy
Basic objective of both teams: Trap Ella and Caleb together in a room where your team is majority. This way you can ensure your team wins. If you're on Ella’s team, you just send Caleb away in the final exile exchange. If you're on Caleb’s team, you don’t send either of them. The ex’s are allies to both teams. Because their win objective is separate from Ella and Caleb’s teams they can be handy for gathering/sharing info with both teams. Try to find out early which players are and avoid talking to them so you don’t gain the “shyness” condition. Knowing who your team’s is also important for pointing teammates with “shyness” to get the help they need. As you should wait to reveal to your own team that you are the spy. This way you can infiltrate the opposite team and gather important role info. Have so much fun my cuties :-)
