To save time, we will mostly communicate via email, unless things need clarifying in a face-to-face context. Start by sharing with Elena an outline of your thesis (see
). Then, please share with Elena sections/chapters of your work as you write them. Emailing a whole first draft is likely to take Elena time to read and comment on and you risk being swamped with feedback – it’s therefore advisable that you gradually get directions for improvement, rather than in one go.
When you send Elena sections/chapters of your work, please plan for a few days (up to a week) for her to get back to you. When emailing her a first complete draft of your work (even if Elena has read sections), it may take her up to two weeks to get back to you with comments (depending on her other teaching/research commitments at the time). It is essential, therefore that you plan for this wait time when working on your thesis, to avoid missing key submission deadlines.
Please email all your thesis-related work as a reply to a single email thread (e.g. entitled Graduation Paper) for ease of reference. Elena’s responses will be in English to save her time – feel free to respond in English or in Macedonian, whichever you prefer.
