Noticing digital logbook

How to manage your logbook?

To create a log without expecting a reply, email using the same email address that you have registered with Noticing.
If you would like Noa to reply, add to the email address field.
If you do nothing more than this, then Noa will reply directly to your questions or provide some quick feedback;
However, if you would like to chat to Noa about any aspect of your log, select the text from your log (a sentence or more) by making it bold or highlighted or use block quote; Noa will include in its response one or more links to conversations (Post-lesson reflection, Lesson preparation or Consultation) about the text you selected.
Whichever option you choose to log your work, you can always share it with a colleague and/or a mentor and/or Elena by CC-ing them in your email; whoever you CC will also be included as collaborators in any conversation links you’ll be sent as a result. You can always remove people from subsequent emails, just like you would when using email.
You can start and maintain as many email threads as you’d like, but bear in mind that Noa’s context in any conversation is connected to whichever email thread you started the conversation from. The longer the thread, the more context, but if you want to focus on something specific, you might prefer to limit the context and start a new thread.
You can upload any files and images either inline or as attachments; each has a 5MB limit. You will receive a notification that an attachment was removed because of being too big.
Every email you send is stored in Noticing and you will have the opportunity to review your work at the end of the semester.
All conversation starting links emailed to you by Noa are also available in Noticing, via the main Menu under Your Artifacts:

If you need to log into Noticing to engage in a conversation, the onboarding guidance remains the same - see
.
Any questions, email Elena!

NOTE: Students can reflect with Noa in Noticing for a more dialogic experience (reports are automatically generated) OR use a for individual written reflections (to be emailed to Elena weekly) as part of a digital logbook shared with Elena (reports to be copied and pasted in from Noticing). Old-school notebooks are also fine, as long as they are shown to Elena in class each week so she can stay updated on progress.
