[Follow-up lesson to manga class.]
Lesson aims:
to get students to use the language from the text on manga in speaking and in writing
to offer opportunities for collaboration
to offer opportunities for engaged, personalized learning
Course book tasks [you might want to modify them to meet the aims above]:
SPEAKING: Describe one of the comic characters on the previous page (e.g. Superman, Lisa Simpson, Spiderman, Hulk). Can your partner guess who it is? E.g. she has got a yellow face and funny blond hair. > It’s Lisa Simpson!
WRITING: Write an email to a friend telling him or her about the things you read. Say:
what you read and how often
if you’re reading anything at the moment and what
who your favourite character is and why.
