E-portfolio post 2

This week we mainly focused on getting a flight sim installed on out computers so we could practice fixed wing flying. Because of my previous experience with fixed wing flight this wasn’t to hard but I did find flying on the sim to be a lot harder as you can’t see your surroundings as much. I was still able to keep good orientation however. I think that I should practice more flights on the simulator as it will help me build up flight time much quicker as I don’t need to wait for good weather or for batteries to charge. While I do think that flying on the sim isn’t as beneficial for gaining flight skills as flying in real life I think that it is still a useful tool that I could benefit greatly from using.
