VERY IMPORTANT! CONSIDER THESE WHILE PLANNING YOUR TRAVEL
📅 In order to have enough rest time before the onboarding training, we ask you to arrive to Budapest (railway stations/bus stations) ⌚Not later than 8 pm on the 6th of April and to leave the hostel ⌚Not later than 10 am on 21st April 2024, and don’t leave any mess behind yourself.
About entering Hungary
There are currently no restrictions due to Covid-19 in order to enter Hungary. If you have any questions or need support regarding organizing your travel, feel free to ask us!

Meeting point

We are going to wait for you at a frequent place in Budapest and travel to the accomodation together. If this time is not suitable for you, you can go directly to the hostel on your own.

🚉 LOCAL PUBLIC TRANSPORT

In order to plan your trips, check schedules, buy tickets and use Budapest’s public transport easily, you are advised to download the
BudapestGO mobile application
⁠
. Google Maps is also a good alternative to check the best routes from one point to another.
How to get to Deák Ferenc square from Budapest Airport (45 min.):
Buy one “airport shuttle bus single ticket”, it costs 2200 HUF
at the ticket machine right in front of the exit or
use BudapestGO mobile application.
Take bus 100E just in front of the exit gate. Don’t forget to validate your ticket on the bus. Get off at the stop called “Deák Ferenc tér”.

🏠GOING STRAIGHT TO THE HOSTEL

How to get directly to Island Hostel from Budapest Airport:
In case you are arriving so much sooner or later than the meeting time, you can go directly to the hostel. In this case please let us know about it, so our colleague doesn’t have to wait for you at the meeting point.
You have to go to Deák Ferenc square as well, according to the guidance above.
Then take bus 9 in the direction of “Óbuda, Bogdáni út”. Get off at the stop called “Jászai Mari tér”.
From here the hostel is accessible with a 15-min-walk through the yellow Margaret bridge, or there is the possibility to take bus 26 in the direction of “Margitsziget”. Get off at the stop called “Hajós Alfréd uszoda”.
Remember that you have to validate a single ticket every time you get on a vehicle. You can buy that in the purple machines or through the BudapestGO app for 450 HUF.

🏡 HOW TO GET BACK HOME?

Please leave the hostel on 21st April 2023 at 10 a.m. the latest, after you have cleaned-up your room. If needed you can leave your luggage there for a while during the day, please talk to the Hostel staff about this.
