Early Entry

Allows guests to enter either Disneyland (Saturdays, Tuesdays, Thursdays) or Disney California Adventure (Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) 30 minutes early each day of their stay

When the parks are scheduled to open for the general public at 8 am, the Early Entry offering is scheduled to start at 7:30 am. The park gates open to all guests just before 7:30 am and Early Entry guests are then able to walk through a separate checkpoint to the select attractions and experiences that were open.

It sounds like aiming to be there at 6:45 might be best!⁠

Arrive to the main gate of the park an hour before official park opening if you hope to fully utilize your Early Entry. We arrive this early and did not have trouble getting into the parks as one of the first groups. By the time the gates open, there will be a line behind you. Don't be at the back of that line. You'll end up waiting about 20 minutes before the gates open for you to scan in.

To walk through the Early Entry checkpoint, someone in your party has to have your hotel room key and hotel reservation pulled up on

your Disneyland app⁠

You may want to access some of the rides that have consistently long lines throughout the day at Disneyland during Early Entry. At Disneyland, these are Space Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight and Alice in Wonderland.

You will be able to book Lightning Lanes the instant your park ticket is scanned so go ahead and book your first Genie+ reservation or purchase your individual Lightning Lane access!

Rise of the Resistance

You can purchase access to the attraction to the Lightning Lane via Genie+ for an average price of $15-20 per person or utilize the standby line.

You'll receive a one-hour window during which you can use the Lightning Lane to skip the standby line.

What could go wrong? As you may have guessed, this ride could break down in your reservation window. So what hoppens? If the ride breaks down and you aren't able to use your Lightning Lane selection as scheduled, you'll see a change to your plan in the app. The time constraints get lifted and you can use your individual Lightning Lane selection any time that day until the ride closes for the night.

If you want to get a head start, you can utilize early entry to your advantage to be at the front of the pack heading back to the ride. At about 10-15 minutes prior to official park opening, line up to the gate at the back of Fantasyland that leads to the rest of the park and towards Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. You will walk past Red Rose Taverne to find it and the crowd waiting for it to open (
