Librarian FAQs

How do I approve a resource?

First, unhide the by clicking the 3 dots on the bottom left-hand corner of this doc (hover over + “New page”) & toggling the “Show hidden pages” on

Then, head over to either the specific category you are hoping to review resources for (ex: ) or the to see all of the unapproved content awaiting review
Check out your queue and review the resources listed there. Please make sure every visible column is filled out and accurate (make sure no columns are highlighted red before approving)

Lastly, once you feel the resource/glossary term is approved and should live in the DOGG, press the “Approved” check box
This is SUPER important, if you don’t check this box it won’t show up in the externally facing DOGG!

Viola! You’re done, move on to the next resource on the list or if you’ve emptied your queue, call it quits!

A resource/term I submitted isn’t showing up in the DOGG, why?

A common reason is when folks don’t click the “Approved” check box for that resource/glossary term. Check that box and see if your resource shows up in the

Another common reason is that your resource isn’t tagged with a “Category,” this will prevent the information from showing up on the DOGG since everything is filtered by a specific category. Add in a category and see if the resource now shows up in the category’s section in the
.

I can’t edit a page or perform any actions, why??

You most likely need to “unlock the page” to do so click the lock button on the top right of the page you’re trying to edit

How do I add a new resource or glossary term to the doc (& skip the approval process)?

For resources:
You can add a resource directly to the by following the below steps. Add a resource using the “” button

Make sure that every column/entry is filled out
For Glossary terms:
Go to the
Click “Unlock” at the top right corner of the page

3. Press “+ New item” at the bottom of the Glossary table

4. Fill out the glossary name & term definition/meaning
