We use carousel slider images on the front pages of the eLearning sites to highlight new eLearning training offerings, D2L updates, eLearning Contact information, and more. These are regularly updated (usually once a month).

To Update
Login to site.
Select Appearance > Customize
Select IAMSocialSlider
Select the slider to update:
Select 1st Slide Settings- Change Image, Select from Media Library or Upload Files. Enter Alt Text and remove Title. Copy Alt Text, Choose Image, Paste Alt text in Caption. Update the link with new URL.
Kaltura Embeds
Videos shown on the resource sites are embedded using LCC’s media platform, Kaltura. See below for an example of the embed code—code for each individual video can be pulled from the Kaltura Media Center (ask Mike if you need assistance with this). When embedding video be sure to use class="kaltura-video"
Parent/Child relationships determine the URL structure of the site, as well as the breadcrumb navigation. Breadcrumbs are managed by the Prime Strategy Bread Crumbplugin. Ensure that relationships make sense, and that wherever possible, the parent/child relationship is reflected in the primary navigation menu.
eLearning Live Events
eLearning Instructional Designers host regular Live training sessions, 1 monthly each for students and Instructors. These are managed used the Events plugin, and can be viewed at:

Plugins
eLearning uses several plugins to enhance the functionality of the Student and Instructor resource sites. These are set to auto-update. Key plugins and descriptions are:
Analytify - Used for Google Analyitcs. Analytics platform will need to be updated to the new Google standard in Summer 2023
Events Manager - Used to add/edit eLearning Live events
Shortcodes Ultimate - Used for various formatting options on the sites. See
