Similarity, Super Similarity (the Self!) and Supra-Similarity (that cloud sure looks like a camel!), providing adequate synaptic switching within discrete neural infinity, as the human condition can be empirically proven NOT to be predicated on success: human decisions - without SLAL-specific priors - are invariably failures.

Supra-similarity or the leveraged ability to 'imagine' or project similarities, explaining away 'prediction': predicting is engaging in nothing more than supra-similarity, not predicated by success.

This engenders natural language evolving Eco-Evo-Devo as a thermodynamic solution/concern, of a Comprecisant-bound (internal logic) basal substrate seeking SLAL among a network of agents, as THE MOST parsimonious path, by far, towards priors-learning of any soughts, at LEAST calorific cost to the agent.

I most humbly feel this strengthens Karl's FEP and Active Inference, yet down a non-Bayesian, non-statistical path, not predicated by success yet by true thermodynamic-calorific optimization, thereby parsimoniously explaining away agent-to-agent inertia, crowd behavior and the human condition in so many empirical aspects.

Please ask Steve if he could write in simpler English what he meant because I don’t understand “SLAL”.

1) SLAL or Species-Level Affordance Library attempts to explain away human cognition following Gibson's valuable insight regarding affordance and the fact humans have evolved language. Language is therefore the most parsimonious and yet optimized scaffold by which to leverage agent-based priors (how to act, what to do) at LEAST input-cost to the agent (20amp human brain). Hence, SLAL is human language and technology, compiling a 'library' over time that builds 'on the shoulders' not of the greats due to one-off neural ability, rather precisely from each and every agent, because in order to optimize our brain on a thermodynamic level, we must work as an extended neural network at a species level. The affordance sits there in the econiche as photon-induced/charged specs/nuggets of affordance/possibility and we need more human agents in a network to leverage more technology and unravel this great game we appear to be playing. Have few members in your immediate group - non-technology peoples - and little or no technology is leveraged. Have lots of agents but your SLAL curve cannot keep pace, you become a past civilization. Perhaps more importantly: beyond our executive functions, we are empty and filled by SLAL.

And when I looked up Supra-Similarity I was told it means “similar to a Toyota Supra”.

And what is comprecisant? I wish to know.

2) Parallel or contrary to SLAL is Comprecisance. Comprecisance is (imho) the basal force in the Universe (not gravity - gravitation/gravity is a subset of Comprecisance - as I feel are the other known forces SNF, WNF, electromagnetism and others yet to be identified, within a graph that has the two axis: Compression Precision So Comprecisance is the juxtaposition of 2 sister forces that would otherwise not appear to align. To compress or scale down input whilst preserving the overall precision amounts to TRUE innovation. Comprecisance is therefore an input vs cost concern at the thermodynamic level. Gravity, as a single force, in a Universe in which by all accounts light has to travel in peaks and troughs, to me, lacks a shadow side and Comprecisance is precisely a pair, 2 into 1. Modern English as THE bridge language (imperfect knowledge mercantile frontier) clearly and abundantly demonstrates instances of Comprecisance logic (a higher logical scaffold) whereas other languages do not. This has led me to design human cognition based around a thermodynamic necessity and constant curve from the mere amoeba to the human, based around the simplest of switching mechanisms - similarity, super-similarity and supra-similarity (3S), to explain away how agents build up this library, how they then recognize the SELF (where most non-language species do not) and log onto the supra-similarity, leveraging 'projection' (thoughts) and wayward examples such as cloud formations looking 'similar' and dreams, impressions etc. Comprecisance is the basal logic, SLAL is the human agent set free. Modern English exemplifies what happens on a logical plane when SLAL is cycled through and Comprecisance begins to show through: we develop in-parallel language logic within the otherwise linear laryngeal language requirement. That's without delving into the language TET, ACA, SNT and proofs debunking Chomsky. lol. SLAL, enforcing language to leverage far larger log cognition within a neuronal network of a multitude of human agents, exponentially increases cognition at absolute least cost and explains away agent inertia (irritability, anger, violence, war) as the inevitable flipside. And then some....(so far). lol
