Objections & Questions

Objections
Common objections:
“I don’t do a lot of leasing”
This is really easy to get around. Cove has no subscription fee, and is pay per use. Ways to get around this includes:
“That’s exactly why we don’t have a subscription fee, signing up with us is free! We only charge for the reports you pull. We understand sometimes the market is hotter than others, and we also know that leasing is not as attractive as buying and selling, but every realtor can benefit from Cove, which is why its pay per use”
“I already use SingleKey”
F*ck SingleKey... we are going to make them redundant — and we are better, so let the realtor know that
“thats awesome — means you have experience using screening tech. We work similar to SingleKey, but we are much better, and cheaper! SingleKey charges $25 plus taxes for background and credit, we charge 20 for the same thing. Plus with our deep check we will ACTUALLY verify income and employment so you dont have to worry about fraud.”

Common Questions
“How do you verify bank information?”
You have to be transparent with them, but also careful because realtors can be a little slow. If you go too in depth it may scare them off because they won’t understand what you’re saying and will think you’re going to scam them. Keep it simple but let them know that tenants will have to sign into their bank accounts
“That’s simple, when tenants are filling up the screening, a portal appears for them to log into their bank account. It works the same way Interac works. Once they log in were able to pull the data. Everything is done with their consent, and tenants have the option of skipping it as well.”
Usually this keeps them happy, but they may ask if tenants skip it whats the point.
“If the tenants choose to skip, its no issue, part of the screening includes uploading their pay stubs/bank statements, and we verify to make sure that document hasn’t been tampered with. To do this we scan the meta data and analyze font sizes to make sure.”
