while this scene doesn’t end Jenny and Elias’ relationship, it comes across to me as sort of final because the audience begins to understand that this isn’t just an unhealthy relationship, it’s been completely tarnished by something. the relationship switches from kind of weird and disconnected to disconnected and doomed. because of this, I looked back on breakups to sort of guide me through it.
