Objective

Leverage Semrush's link building tool to gather individual email and contact information for conducting personalized outreach to earn high quality backlinks.

Process | Adding prospect source domains and getting the contact emails:

Go to Projects, click on the domain project name

Click on the “Link Building Tool” under the Link Building on the left menu navigation.

Click “Prospects” on your project’s domain name

On the Domain Prospects page, select only the source domains that have ratings of 4 to 5

To select/add a prospect domain, click “To In Progress” button and it will add it up to your “In Progress” list

You may also click/tick on the check boxes to select multiple prospect domains then click “To In Progress”

After adding prospect domains, click on the “In Progress” tab to go your In Progress list

7. Prepare a spreadsheet to organize contacts details. Add column headers into the spreadsheet with the following data:

Referring Domains/Source Domains

Rating

Outreach Category

Contact 1 (Email address)

Contact 2 (Email address)

Contact 3 (Email address)

Contact 4 (Email address)

Contact 5 (Email address)

8. Log all findings into spreadsheet such as Referring Domain, Rating, Outreach Strategy, and Contact Emails.

To get their contact emails, click on the Contact button or “X emails”

Copy email addresses and paste it onto the spreadsheet
