Getting Flagged for Circumventing Systems
One of the most frustrating error messages to receive when trying to run your ads is a flag for Circumventing
Systems. This flag means that something that you are running has previously been flagged for breaching
advertising policies, most likely a low feedback score.
When you receive this flag, your Profile and Page can often be disabled permanently. Repeat offences can also
lead to you losing your Business Managers and Pixels. In some severe cases it can also lead to our Agency Ad
Accounts getting disabled.
What Assets are Flagged?
If you lose a Page for low feedback score, or a severe breach of Advertising Policy, Facebook can flag the
following assets:
• Page / Pixel
• Domain
• Creatives (Video/Image)
• Landing Page
• Profile/VPS/IP
View only
It's important to note that, providing none of these infringing assets are being used actively on your Ad
Account, your Agency Ad Account will not be flagged. Ad Accounts are only flagged whilst some of these
assets are being used on them.
How do I Avoid the Error?
If you find your Pages going down, Profiles getting disabled, and ads getting rejected, it's likely something you
are running has been flagged.
This could even be a competitor's ad that you have downloaded and slightly modified and are using yourself.
Facebook now flags video ads, and even slight edits (like changing size, speed, logos etc.) wont work for long.
You may find it gets approved, but then disabled after a day or two.
The only way to get around this issue is to change everything, and delete all existing ads and campaigns that
might be infringing from your ad account.
We also recommend avoiding using any competitor's ads, as they may have previously been flagged. Then,
when you upload them, Facebook will flag you as they think you are that competitor trying to re-advertise.
If you do receive a low feedback score, we recommend purchasing some from: © Feedback Score
Then getting your feedback above the threshold. This will make it easier to re-advertise again.
Plus, we recommend changing all of the assets mentioned above to make sure there is nothing that can
possibly be detected as being the same as before. Facebook's Al is smart, and it only takes you to miss one
area, and you will once again get banned
