It’s a good and simple method to start building new habits, especially if you want to apply them in 2025.
Starting at the root cause, James Clear pointed out that our behaviors are deeply influenced by our identity - the:
Beliefs
Values, and
Self-perceptions
So we should focus on shaping our identity rather than relying on willpower or setting goals.
So the key point here would be to create a new identity that align with our desired behavior.

How can we make it?

True change will occur when you see yourself as the person already engaging in the desired behavior. Something like the that I mentioned in another post.
So between 2 options:
I want to write
I am a person who writes
Let’s pick the second option and be a person who writes
The more you repeat a behavior, the more you become the identity that’s associated with the behavior.

So what is the 3 Alarm Method?

It’s a way to segment your life across the 3 important domains:
Health
Wealth
Relationships

How to make the 3 Alarm Method?

The first step would be to “Set an Alarm for 3 different times of the day” and label the alarms how you want to show up
The label is your best self-identity and should have values tied to how that identity behaves
For example, my labels tie to:
Being a good Dad
Being a good career coach in software development
Being a book author

The benefits of the 3 Alarm Method?

When the Alarm goes off, you need to become the champion tied to that identity.
You need to show up as you intended

It will help to become your:
Intentionality drivers
Help you make the right choices
Prompt reflection on your behaviors
