Canology Hydraulic Oil Spill Clean-Up Instructions
Spill Kit Contents:
Oil absorbent pads
Absorbent granules
Rubber gloves
Disposable trash bag
Dustpan and brush (on truck)
Push broom (on truck)
Step-by-Step Cleanup Procedure:
Put on Protective Gear
Wear the rubber gloves provided in the spill kit before handling any oil or materials.
Contain the Spill
Use absorbent pads to surround and soak up any standing hydraulic oil.
Apply Absorbent Granules
Evenly sprinkle the absorbent granules over the remaining oil-stained surface.
Agitate the Granules
Use the push broom from the truck to lightly agitate the granules into the surface. This helps soak up all residual oil.
Sweep Up the Used Material
Once the granules have absorbed the oil, use the dustpan and brush to sweep up the contaminated granules.
Dispose of Waste Properly
Place the used pads and dirty granules into the disposable trash bag.
Tie the bag securely and dispose of it in the designated trash can at the shop.
Clean Tools and Restock Kit
Wipe down the dustpan, brush, and push broom.
Notify your supervisor if any spill kit supplies need to be restocked.
