Grade Scale: Per the College handbook, an A grade is earned by a student exhibiting exceptional achievement, original insight, sound reasoning, and the ability to evaluate the scope of the materials studied. A B is awarded for superior work reflecting interpretive skill and a clear understanding of the meaning and interrelation of course materials. A C grade reflects average work, as well as familiarity with basic facts and concepts. A D grade is passing, though reveals a lack of fundamental knowledge of the subject. An F grade is failing.
