C. Wess Daniels is the William R. Rogers Director of Friends Center and Quaker Studies at Guilford College
Personal:
Wess lives a Quaker minister, author, and teacher. He is originally from Canton, Ohio and is the oldest of eight siblings spread across two families. He has been married to his beloved wife Emily since 2001, and they have three children and a rescue dog named Magnolia. , enjoys reading, writing, riding his , and hanging out with his family.
Education:
Wess has a Ph.D. from Fuller Theological Seminary in Intercultural Studies. While at Fuller he focused on the Quaker tradition, philosophy, and cultural studies in the pursuit of trying to understand how faith traditions evolve over time.
He became a Quaker while attending , a college founded by Walter and Emma Malone who were holiness Quakers. Since that time he has become a voice in the Quaker world for convergence; bridge-building, Remixing tradition, and renewal among all Friends.

Wess has written two books and edited many others:
, sets out to describe a model of renewal that takes into account both tradition and innovation while fostering a deeply participatory community.

Besides teaching and overseeing Quaker studies at Guilford College, Wess has taught classes and workshops at , , Pendle Hill, Ben Lomond Quaker Center, Woodbrooke, and . He has offered keynotes and sermons at many Monthly Meetings and Churches, Yearly Meetings, FUM, FWCC, FCNL, AFSC, QUIP, and other Quaker gatherings. He has served on the boards of and and .
Teaching and speaking interests include congregational renewal, appreciative inquiry, remixing the Quaker tradition, Convergent Friends, leadership development among Friends, Friends approaches to the Bible, and .
