What should you do before the event...

Understand the teams will have to face.
Confirm your attendance and ask any doubt to the organizers!

What do we expect...

Listen carefully to pitches and ask relevant questions to teams.
Evaluate teams pitches according to the predefined criteria.
A discussion between jury members (experts panel) should be carried in order to choose for the best ideas to preselect 5 MVPs in the city.

When should you be present in the event...

If you are jury on the 26th - 15H30 - 20H
If you are jury on the 27th - 16H - 18H

How is the assessment process...

The main task you should perform as a jury member is to assess teams’ pitches:
How?
26th Form → Access
the form where you can evaluate each team individually.
27th Form → Access
the form where you can evaluate each team individually.
Instructions
There are 6 dimensions that the jury should evaluate individually:
Disruptive > Creativity & innovation. Score 1 to 5.
1: This project sounds more like a traditional old-fashioned SMEs.
2: This project is similar to already existing ones.
3: This project is an evolution of already existing ones.
4: This project sounds like an innovation for the industry.
5: This project is the most disruptive idea I have heard in the last 3 months.
Challenge > Relationship with the challenge of the EIT Urban Mobility CrossInnovation Hackathon 2022. Score 1 to 5.
1: This project is not related to the challenge presented at all.
2: This project has little to do with the challenge presented.
3: This project tries to solve the challenge presented but it really doesn’t.
4: This project solves a non-relevant aspect of the challenge presented.
5: This project successfully solves the challenge presented.
Scalabilty > Operationally and financially. Score 1 to 5.
1: This project sounds more like a dream.
2: It sounds feasible regarding operations but where is the money?
3: Revenue streams are clear but I do not see a clear path regarding operations.
4: There is an opportunity to attack and acquire a big piece of the cake.
5: There is a huge opportunity to make this project scalable.
Business model canvas > 9 elements. Score 1 to 5.
1: This is not a Business Model Canvas, it’s a Picasso.
2: Most of the elements that build up the BMC seem too doubtful.
3: It sounds ok, some elements are blurry.
4: It sounds reasonable, I would test it.
5: I think this concept is close to problem-solution fit.
Design & Execution > Product or service. Score 1 to 5.
1: This is not what the user persona wants.
2: This seems to be what the user persona wants but it is not user friendly.
3: This is user friendly but level of functionality is vague.
4: This is similar to what the user persona wants.
5: This is what the user persona wants.
Pitch. Score 1 to 5.
1: I did not understand a thing.
2: The pitch was not clear enough.
3: The idea is interesting but I would not invest in the team.
4: Sounds interesting, I want to know more.
5: I would invest my money now.
A weighted average will be calculated considering each jury member scores and teams will be sorted.

What happens after the event...

It will depend on the degree to which each mentor wants to get involved in the projects developed by teams.
