What's happening is that technology is drastically reducing the need for middlemen. For example, let's take a look at the banking industry. In the past, if you wanted to send money to someone, you had to go through a bank. The bank would then take a cut of the money as a fee.
Nowadays, there are a number of companies that allow you to send money directly to someone without going through a bank. These companies are called peer-to-peer (PTP) lenders. They use the internet to connect people who need money with people who have money. This means there are no middlemen, and the fees are much lower.
PTP lending is just one example of how technology is eliminating the need for middlemen. In the past, if you wanted to buy a house, you had to go through a real estate agent. The agent would then take a commission on the sale.
Nowadays, there are a number of websites that allow you to search for a house on your own. You can also find a lot of information about the housing market online. This means that you don’t need to pay an agent to help you find a house.
Simply new generations will only learn about middlemen in old movies and textbooks! This will soon happen to CEOs in the Startup world between the Board of Directors and executive management.
The role of the CEO has evolved, and today's CEOs are expected to be not only good at running their companies In a world where everything is constantly changing, but also at innovating and taking risks. Today's startups need transformers, not CEOs. Transformers can see the world in a new light and build something completely different from what has come before. If you're still stuck in the old way of thinking, it's time to wake up and smell the coffee. The future is now! CEOs, it's time to transform your businesses and yourselves. Are you up for the challenge? I hope so because the world is counting on you. WE NEED CEOTransformers!
Why We Need CEOTransformers, Not CEOs
The CEO era is over. We don't need CEOs for startups anymore, we need transformers. With the classical way of setting strategies and finding executors gone with the wind, today we need transformers to build, learn and develop till they explore and discover methods to explode and change the world - this is called a Reverse Startup. Everything needs to be seen upside down to get things built. Let's not forget that Uber made taxi drivers solo entrepreneurs as service providers and Airbnb made homeowners millionaires by starting to renting extra rooms. Today, CEOs will be transformers building mini transformers changing the world and leaving performance to deep-TECH to do the homework. The upcoming revolution in Human capital will only depend on deliverable blocks, not hourly rates or appraisals with the use of blockchain. I know it's too early on blockchain but remember the internet was once rocket science!
What is a CEOTransformer?
They are people who are not only good at running their companies but also able to disrupt their own industry by innovating and taking risks. A CEOTransformer is able to see the world in a new light and build something completely different from what has come before. A CEOTransformer can see opportunities that others don't. A CEOTransformer is able to take risks and make bold bets even if those bets don't always work out. A CEOTransformer can be vulnerable, learn from mistakes, and use those lessons to fix failures and build something bigger and better, not just maintain the status quo. Arrogance isn't found in his/her DNA.
CEO, if you're still reading this, it's time to step aside and let the transformers take over! This is an exciting time for startups, so let's embrace the change and see what the future holds for us. Who knows, maybe we'll be able to achieve things we never thought possible. Let's make it happen! CEO era - OVER! Long live the transformer era! CEO- transform and evolve or become extinct! The writing is on the wall . . . it's about time to pass the torch to CEOTransformers.
What do you think? Is CEOTransformers the new leaders of the startup world?
