Writing Day 9

Here’s what I did to build my Confidence?

Having confidence, is a trait that everybody admires and aspires to have. However, nobody teach’s us “how to build confidence”. It’s believed that you’re either have it it or don’t.
I’m here to tell you, that not the case at all. Confidence isn’t something you’re born with;
it’s a skill, and just like any skill, it can be learnt.

Confidence, is having and trusting yourself fully. You can fake being confident in front of others, but if there’s self doubt, it’ll show. We humans have an innate ability to sense inauthenticity, we are trained by evolution on the skill of understanding and reading a persons real motives.

So, how do you build trust and come to accordance with yourself?

Here’s what I did to come in accordance with myself.
I had to understand and accept myself fully.
I used to sit for hours, doing nothing. No phone, No AirPods, No T.V, Nothing.

Just sitting there with myself, letting my thoughts come to life. During these moments, I had tp confronted my regrets, insecurities, and wishes. It was clear that the only thing I truly had control over was my mind and it’s thoughts.

And so I let me thought out and cleared up all the questions, my brain had no more complains and my brain was calm and ok with the person I was. When I understood that the only person I need to get the approval of was myself and opening up to myself, gave me the trust and approval I was looking for.

By confronting and addressing each thought, I began to understand and find peace. I realized that I only needed the approval of myself. Once I embraced who I was, I didn’t care about others opinions and still don’t.

Confidence is trusting yourself, without wishing you’d rather be someone else.
