Writing Day 1

At the time of this writing, I am 16 years old. I have decided that I am going to write 30 minutes for 30 days and share it with the world.

As James Clear puts it:
“Habits are the compound interest of self-improvement. The same way that money multiplies through compound interest, the effects of your habits multiply as you repeat them.”

The reason I chose to focus on the skill of “Writing” is because, having the ability to transfer information and knowledge through the power of written words to another person is a valuable skill and one that should be mastered in order to articulate thoughts into clear ideas and actions.

I have recently read the book “On Writing” by Stephen King, and I’ve got to admit it has inspired this journey.

(Although the main medium of my thought and ideas will be through writing, I will distribute and transform these writings, into long-from and short-form content)
King says:
“While it is impossible to make a competent writer out of a bad writer, and while it is equally impossible to make a great writer out of a good one, it is possible, with lots of hard work, dedication, and timely help, to make a good writer out of a merely competent one.”
This should be an inspiration to all of those aspiring writers.

It is possible, with proper dedication and hard work, one can truly be justified as a good writer.

Although this can be hard to many people,
I want us all to use what Sahil Bloom calls the “30- for - 30 - Challenge”

Simply put, pick any skill that you want to learn or be good at.
Work on it for 30 minutes everyday without MISSING a single day, for 30 days straight.
(That’s 900 minutes of your time allocated to improving and mastering your desired skill)

This builds discipline and consistency, which are key traits of leaders and entrepreneurs.

I can confidently say that I have seen positive improvements in my discipline and consistency, since I’ve been hitting the gym every day for the past 2 months.

Just to put it out there, I work out not to get a 6 six pack or to get the attention from women.
This is entirely for the benefit of my health and my well-being.

I know that most people, regardless if they are wealthy, broke, or the president of the United States of fuckin America, all care about their well-being.
Yet, almost all of them neglect their health.
I don’t know if its because they are lazy or just plain stupid.

Let’s use common sense here:
If you jog, walk, run, workout, and eat healthy, you’ve created a strong, fit and a nourished body.
This is all you need to do to live a longer and a healthier life, yet most people choose not to.

I am not asking you to change your lifestyle completely,
but simply suggesting that you make the time to invest into creating a healthier life.

Do it for 30 minutes for 30 days, and I promise you that you will see a positive difference in your life.
Be sure to try it out and shoot me a message on IG to let me know how it works out for you!

Thank-you for tuning in to the first episode. I hope you found it valuable.
I appreciate you reading, listening, and sharing it with others.
