Spext had its inception in UC Berkeley. Backed by top silicon valley VCs like Village Global, OVO and other strategic angel investors, we are building remotely from India for a global consumer base. Founders have previously built award winning products and scaled to millions of users.

For a product, innovating and challenging the fundamentals of media editing, innovative engineering and exceptional user interface is everything.

We are looking for a Senior Frontend lead, who is passionate about web apps and have the desire to build high quality products with cutting edge tech.

Required Skills/Experience

Lead the Frontend team! If you see yourself as a leader who can lead a talented team, read further.

4+ years of experience.

Passionate about product domain and have the desire to build high quality products.

Professional experience and solid internal understanding of VueJS or any modern JavaScript web frameworks (React, Angular, Ember, etc.)

Solid understanding of HTML, CSS and core JavaScript concepts.

Deep understanding of web browsers and its internals.

Very adaptive to new technologies and eager to understand, learn and move on at an accelerated pace while delivering high quality code

Ability to breakdown and communicate complex technical, architectural, and organisational problems.

Strong understanding of software design, clean code principles and OOP concepts.

Ability to quickly generate execution strategies and set priorities for the team, unite and keep everyone in the team accountable.

Ability to inspire and motivate teammates to perform at their highest level and fuel collaboration across organisation.

Great communication skills and strong sense of how communication plays an important role in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the team to deliver projects on time.

Make and own high level engineering decisions.

Establish systems and practices for the frontend team, setup teammates for success, resolve conflicts.

Drive the iteration on features, tooling, and processes across the product.

Communicate, maintain and evolve documentation related to engineering designs and decisions.

Design and Develop features and improvements to the product in a secure, well-tested, and performant way.

Report team's performance against the objectives.

Location - Remote
