[WIP] Notifications manager: Jupiter version

Notifications manager controls which system events generate notifications for staff members, students, and family members — and how those notifications are delivered (In-app, Email, or Push).
These settings apply at the school level. Each user group can be configured independently.
Note: If a notification is disabled here, it will not be sent, and users will not be able to enable it from their own Notification preferences.

Notifications behaviour

Each row represents a system trigger grouped by module (for example, Assignments or Behaviour management).
If a trigger is enabled, notifications are generated when that event happens and delivered through the channels you selected.
If a trigger is disabled, no new notifications are generated for that event. Any notifications already delivered remain visible.
Note: Some triggers support only specific delivery channels. Unsupported channels appear blank and cannot be selected.

User settings

The Enable notifications for [staff members/students/family members] toggle allows you to stop or allow all notifications for the selected user
Delivery channels (In-app, Email, Push) can be enabled individually per trigger or across all triggers using Enable all at the top of a column.

Troubleshooting

A notification was sent even though preferences were turned off
Some modules apply their own delivery rules. For example, if an announcement is sent with “Send an email” enabled, it may be delivered regardless of individual notification preferences.
In such cases, the module-level action takes precedence.
A trigger appears greyed out in a user’s Notification preferences
If a notification trigger or delivery channel is disabled at the admin level, it will appear greyed out or marked with an alert icon in the user’s Notification preferences.
Multi-school users
For users associated with more than one school or curriculum, notifications are delivered only where the trigger is active. If settings differ across configurations, delivery depends on where the event occurred.
New users automatically inherit the default configuration set at the school level.
