Notifications manager

Notifications manager controls which system events generate notifications and how they are delivered. These settings apply at the school level and can be configured independently for each user group.

What can I do on this page?

Enable or disable notifications for staff, students, or family members.
Control how notifications are delivered — in-app, email, or push.
Manage notification triggers grouped by module (for example, Assignments or Behaviour).
Apply delivery settings to individual triggers or across all triggers at once.
Search for specific notification triggers.

How settings affect the system?

When a trigger is enabled, notifications are generated when the event occurs and delivered through the selected channels.
When a trigger is disabled, no new notifications are sent for that event. Previously delivered notifications remain visible.
If notifications are disabled at the admin level, users cannot turn them back on from their own Notification preferences.
Some module-level actions (such as sending an announcement with “Send email” enabled) may override individual notification preferences.

Things to keep in mind

Some triggers support only specific delivery channels. Unsupported channels appear blank and cannot be selected.
If a trigger or channel is disabled here, it appears greyed out in users’ Notification preferences.
New users inherit the school-wide configuration set on this page.
For multi-school users, notifications are delivered based on where the event occurs and how that school is configured.
