User name settings

User name settings allow you to customise how user names appear across the platform - on the web, mobile app, and in downloaded reports and transcripts.

What can I do on this page?

Use this page to configure and standardize name display formats for different user groups in your account.
Choose name display formats individually for:
Web & Mobile (platform) - impacts how names appear across the platform (web and app)
Reports & transcripts - impacts printed and downloaded (PDF) reports and transcripts, and exported progress report data in spreadsheet format.
Click Edit to customise the format for each user type:
Select from predefined formats (availability varies by user type) or create your own custom format.
To set up a custom display name format, follow these steps:
Add name components (such as first name, middle name, preferred name, or suffix) using the selector
Rearrange components using drag and drop
Remove components as needed
Preview changes in real time before saving
Save your changes to apply the format across the platform and relevant documents.

Things to keep in mind

The format behaviour is independent for Web & Mobile vs Reports & Transcripts - settings in one section do not affect the other.
Only the components available in a user’s profile will appear in their display name; missing components will not be shown. Additionally, the First name component is mandatory and cannot be removed.
Any changes made to name formats are applied automatically everywhere the user name is displayed.
