Student flags help you record important student-specific information, such as medical or behavioural notes, so staff can quickly access them when supporting students.
As an admin, you define the flag types that teachers can later apply to individual students.

Use this page to define and manage flag types that are available to staff across selected schools.
Create a new flag type using Create flag type Choose a Flag icon and set a Title for the flag type. Select the Associated schools using the drop-down. Once created, staff can use these flag types to add flags to individual student profiles. In the table, you can view the schools the flag type is mapped to, as well as the number of Active and Expired/archived flags linked to it. Use the three-dot menu to: Edit a flag type (icon, title, associated schools) Archive a flag type to stop it from being used for new flags Delete a flag type if it has no active or archived flags linked to it Things to keep in mind
Flag types defined here determine what teachers can select when creating flags for students. Archived flag types cannot be used for new flags, but remain visible wherever they were previously used. You can only delete a flag type if no staff member has ever created a flag using it. Once teachers add flags to students, flag icons appear next to student names across various modules, such as Submissions, Attendance, Portfolio, Progress reports, Announcement, Messaging, and Gradebook.
