Learner profile attributes

Learner profile attributes describe the qualities and dispositions learners develop over time.

Use this page to configure the learner profile attributes that teachers can select while planning units.

Add a new learner profile attribute using the Add learner profile attribute button.

Provide a title and description to create the attribute.

Edit an existing learner profile attribute by directly typing in the fields.

Delete an LPA using the trash icon.

IB-defined LPAs are listed by default, but you can edit them or add new ones as per your school’s context.

LPAs configured here can be selected while planning units and tagged as learning goals in learning experiences and portfolio posts.

LPAs can be edited or deleted even if they are already in use in unit plans, learning experiences, or portfolio posts.

When you edit an LPA, the changes are reflected everywhere it has been tagged.

If you delete an LPA, it is removed wherever it has been tagged and cannot be selected in the future.
